I trolled the web and Pinterest looking for ideas, and ultimately decided to use the sunburst style on this card. I cut the rays and background on my Silhouette, then layered them and took them to my sewing machine to stitch around the rays. I don't think it shows in the pictures, but I used a variegated thread to stitch with. I layered the stitched fronts onto a black card.
Dh thought they looked kind of neat just as they were, but I had a different look in mind. I cut a shape with a punch, and used my favorite circle sentiment set as the focal point...but could not decide which sentiment to use...
So I made three of them to send with the card base for the swap, and the recipient may use whichever one fits their occasion best!
Supplies:
- cardstock: cream (Coredinations), black (unknown)
- patterned paper: K&Company
- stamps: Unity Stamp Co
- punch: EK Success (bracket frame), McGill (circles)
- ink: Tsuneiko
- cut file: Silhouette America
- thread: Maxilock
